Ms Bouchier-Jafari was appointed as the Halftime Chief Operating Officer in February 2019.
Melanie gained clarity on her ‘life purpose’ during the Halftime Roundtable which helped her transition out of a senior executive role after more than 20 year’s working in public practice. During this time she worked extensively with large numbers of small to medium sized businesses in the area of tax, accounting and superannuation.
As a key part of this transition, she established Trailblazer Consulting Group in 2017 which was born out of conversations with clients, realising that many business owners and senior managers are often unable to make strategic decisions because of a lack of reliable and timely information. Understanding that technology affects the ability to understand the financials, which in turn affects the ability to devise and implement long term growth strategies, this key has been pivotal in unlocking the growth potential for clients. Melanie provides a solution-focused approach to helping businesses move strategically towards their goals, with a key focus on fostering individuals, enhancing smart processes and maximising the use of technology to gain efficiencies in their business operations.
Another key part of this transition is a commitment to give back and working with Not for Profits organisations where she is able to live out her strong Christian faith. This has seen her join the board of LightFM in December 2018 and also takes on a part role of Chief Operating Officer for Halftime Australia.
Melanie holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Natal (South Africa), a MBA from Deakin University, is a CPA , a registered Tax Agent and a SMSF Specialist Advisor (SMSF Association).
Melanie lives in Melbourne with her husband Bobby and daughter Abigail.
